The birds we have seen and heard along the Bay of Pigs has been outstanding. Up until yesterday we were lucky enough to see most of Cuba’s endemic birds, with the exception of the Cuban parrot. Gord continues to add that we also haven’t seen an iguana, but I don’t have the heart to tell him they aren’t birds.
Yesterday we were surprised by a huge flock of parrots enjoying the last rays of sunshine on the tree tops in front of our casa particular. At the last minute we opted to stay at this house 2 kms before Playa Larga. It turns out the parrots are regular visitors at dawn and dusk. I couldn’t feel luckier.

Nice pictures and paintings. Are you using Merlin from Cornell? It’s been our must have app while in Mexico. We found birds there that summer up here in SGI. They have a pack for the Caribbean including Cuba.
Great drawings Ruth, and great photos too!
