Grandma: For anyone who doesn’t already know, I’m the intrepid Bike Friday that Ruth rides on for our Caminos. I’m dictating to her because my lack of fingers makes typing very difficult. Ruth doesn’t feel like writing much today, but fortunately I’m here to save the day! Tadaa!!!
We are now traveling with our pilgrim friend Doris from Germany. We met her on the Via de La Plata two years ago. I like her. She’s never made comments about my age and seems to genuinely respect two wheel pilgrims. I did carry beer for her once in Spain, so that might have helped. She travels everywhere with a frog, maybe she does this because she doesn’t have a bicycle, I’m not really sure. I would ask her but I’m still a bit shy about talking to people. The frog is kind of cute in a “no tires” kind of way. It’s been great having her back with us. How many young people are willing to hang out for a week with a vintage bicycle and a pair of older eccentrics? Ruth didn’t want me to call them that, but this isn’t her blog, is it?

So nice that Grandma Friday is always available to step in when needed. We love hearing her cheeky perspective of your journey.
She is quite a character.
Well done both of you!
From Philippe who just finished his walk to his end destination in Leon today.
Congratulations Phillipe!
OMG … I am just laughing so hard, I am sure the people in the next hotel room are thinking “WTH”. I love it.
We all need a good belly laugh, I’m glad grandma helped.
Dont be shy Grandma Friday, you have tons of fans around the world & vintage is cool now!
Thanks Daniel, I will try! Say hi to the family. – Grandma
