After a 34 km walk and half a tub of ice cream Gord was still up for a walk around Treviso. Italy is amazing; step into a Cathedral and stumble upon a painting by Titian. In Treviso it’s his Annunciation. We also were treated to some frescos in the crypt from the 13 or 14th century.

Gord and I love this stuff.
It’s great being able to stay in contact with Gord throughout the day, but sometimes when he has to far to go in the hot sun I get texts like this one:

Last night for some reason I found myself watching Katherine Hepburn in Summertime (1955), which is David Lean’s love letter to Venice. There might be a connection to seeing your marvelous photos?
It does indeed look like a magical place! Would love to be there with you – for the town and the artwork.
It would be great fun. We never have more than an afternoon in these places, but we have found a really nice rhythm.
You guys are off soon on your adventure.
