I arrived in Avies covered in grease after Grandma Friday’s Chain came off of a third time. By 4:00 I had dropped her off at the repair shop to get a full tune up. What a difference, now she has a good range of seven gears. We have had two beautiful days of riding. Little ribbons of asphalt winding up and down between forrest valleys and towns near the sea.

So glad that Grandma’s Spa day was effective! What beautiful countryside you are experiencing- quite stunning in the photos.
You look much happier now that your poor tired sweet bike has had some TLC. Your stone companions provide quite a pilgrim contrast. What kind of trees are those – not plane trees? Beautiful.
Cool and very rainy here. Everything is vivid spring green. At least it will shorten the fire season.
The trees are eucalyptus, which have been planted extensively in Spain and can grow to an impressive size in the this gentle climate. Speaking of climate, we will be back to enjoy Victoria’s in a little over two weeks.
