It was sunny and comparatively warm all day today.  The skiff of snow that fell yesterday evening melted quickly in the morning sun.  Matthew, Rick and I walked from Manang to the collection of lodges called Yak Karka (Yak Meadows) located at 4,020 metres.  The walk was spectacular, with great views of two of the Annapurna peaks all day.  We saw a herd of small deer, perhaps musk deer, near Yak Karka.

Through a combination of illness and altitude, Don had miserable sleeps both nights that we stayed in Manang.  He decided that he needed to go to a lower elevation, so he has taken a ride in a jeep back to Besisahar.  He will hopefully rejoin us on the other side of the pass in a few days.
